New Stories Before a New Year!

I’ve spent much of the year beating myself up over not having put out anything new recently, and then boom, I find myself falling into the habits I had as a student and skating through right at the last minute. Which is a really long way to say…

I’ve got a couple of new stories out!

That’s right, after two years of radio silence, I suddenly have two books out for you, and they both drop this month!

First up is:

Make My Wish Come True: A #romanceclass Anthology "Christmas Weddings Make the Best Lovers Quarrel"

Make My Wish Come True: A #romanceclass Anthology

This holiday-themed read features 17 stories from 19 authors from the #romanceclass group of readers and writers. Mine is one of two stories in the collection that turns up the steam, and here’s a bit of detail about the short read, which revisits the characters from my novella, Old Enemies Make the Best Lovers.

More about my story, “Christmas Weddings Make the Best Lovers Quarrel”:

The constant loop of Christmas carols are only making the hours leading up to Christy’s best friend’s wedding all the more stressful. Then the bride goes missing. And Christy’s fiance, Kyle, badmouths her BFF instead of helping with the situation. Can they calm their tempers enough to work together to save a wedding… and their Christmas together?

Make My Wish Come True is a limited-run anthology which is available as an ebook via Gumroad until the end of January 2017. You can also order a print copy from me any time, but note that there will be an embargo on processing orders for it until December 10. Why? Because this is the date of the official book launch!

Launch details here:
1-4pm on December 10, 2016 (Saturday)
Blacksoup Cafe Artspace Maginhawa

I’ll be selling print copies of my novella, Old Enemies Make the Best Lovers, at the event too, and everyone who buys one will get a home-baked cookie!

Next up is an international publication (my first!):

Best Women's Erotica of the Year, Volume 2 "On the Calendar"

Best Women’s Erotica of the Year, Volume 2
“On the Calendar”

Best Women’s Erotica of the Year, Volume 2

Published by Cleis Press and edited by erotica guru Rachel Kramer Bussel, Best Women’s Erotica of the Year, Volume 2 showcases 22 stories about women taking charge of their passions and pleasure and offers a veritable trip around the globe. Locations include San Francisco and New York (the greatest city in the world! Work!), the Bahamas and Peru. My own story is set in the Philippines, and while I don’t specify the location, in my head, it’s in my hometown of Cebu.

More about my story, “On the Calendar“:

Ana is fast approaching her 32nd birthday, and it makes her all the more aware of her no-boyfriend-since-birth status. Which may be due to the fact that she’s been in love with her friend Rico for years. So as the birthday that will take her age off the calendar fast approaches, she’s got only one thing scheduled: seduction!

And I wish I were going stateside in the new year (but alas, it’s not meant to be!) because editor Rachel Kramer Bussel and other contributors will be in Los Angeles January 31 at Skylight Books, Baltimore February 9 at Sugar and New York February 11 at Bluestockings for rousing, sexy free readings from Best Women’s Erotica of the Year, Volume 2! That’s my news so far—although I’m working on something and hope to have more to report in the new year! In the meantime, I would love it if you spread the word about the anthology. If you buy the books and read them, thank you, thank you thank you! And all of us authors would really appreciate it if you took your support one step further and posted a review wherever you purchased it as well as on Goodreads. If you have a blog and would like me to do a guest post, interview, or any other type of promo featuring either book, please let me know as well! About Author

Kate Sebastian

Kate Sebastian has been crafting stories since she was tiny. She spent her childhood reimagining classic fairy tales and inventing new ones, then having her dolls and stuffed toys reenact them in elaborate sets she built by rearranging the furniture in her house. She earns a good living writing articles and editing manuscripts, but decided to try her hand at writing romance (the steamy kind) since she reads so much of it.
